Rob is the currently the cofounder of Sustainnovation Consulting, providing "innovative Sustainability solutions for success." Sustainnovation empowers businesses to establish sustainable strategies, practices, and products that are of genuine value to customers, society, and the environment.

Rob is the former CEO of Recology Solutions, Inc., a sustainable packaging products and services company. He worked on rebuilding and repositioning the company adding a national sales team and service arm, founding the concept of zero waste design and practice for business. In addition, Rob helped to develop an alternative energy company and was on a team that designed a solar thermal prototype. Prior to Recology, Rob moved to Jakarta, Indonesia on sabbatical where he served as an educator at the North Jakarta International School for several years. As a result of his travels both in Indonesia and across most of Asia, he witnessed the damaging environmental effects of increased human activity. Upon his return to the US, he embraced corporate social responsibility as the crucial next step in business evolution and sought to incorporate sustainable practices in the business community.

Before moving to Indonesia, Rob lead a successful business development career spanning 13 years in Information Technology managing Fortune 500 clients at the executive level with firms such as Wireless Infrastructure Technology Services, Availant, Genuity and MCI.

He currently serves as the Founder and Executive Director for the Zero Waste Initiative in Northern Massachusetts. He is an active member in local community efforts contributing to the proposal, management and implementation of a citywide zero waste ordinance, coordination of a city waste cost reduction initiative and teaches several education courses focused on sustainability practices. In addition he is a leadership member of the Seacoast Energy & Environmental Design (SEED) Coalition.

Rob has a BA from the University of Vermont in French and Philosophy, attended l’Université de Nice, speaks French and Bahasa Indonesia, and has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Central America, Southeast Asia and Europe. He currently lives in Newburyport, MA with his wife Laurel where they dutifully compost, reduce, reuse and recycle.
