Educational Consultant reveals ...Why Our Schools Continue to Fail Our Childern? As you know, today it is possible to graduate from high school without knowing how to read or do simple mathematics. This is old news. But as educational consultant Mushtaq Jaafri (Dr.jeff) will tell Ode community, the present educational system is also failing its brightest students molding them into clones who are incapible of thinking for themselves. "CHILDREN MUST LEARN MORE THAN READING AND WRITING", says Dr.Mushtaq Jaafri. Learn where today's public and private schools have tragically gone wrone. Seven things schools should be teaching but aren't. The real reason so many of today's kids - and adults - are unhappy and depressed. Why he believes that most of his 18+ years of education was a total waste. Can we revolutionize American education and cut needed to educate our childern in half. GROUP MESSAGES:

My vision (and hope) for education center on honoring the student as much as continually refreshing the desire for continued lifelong learning. Emphasis would be on the growth as a human spiritual beings and our relationship to the universe. Within that would be modeled and shared the necessities for day to day living.

I believe it is essential to recognize all traditions and beliefs, and molding respect and understanding for all.

To maintain purity in the learning environment.

There is a need to re-look at the intention for "education". As I see it the intent or basis for learning should be born of our inherent curiosity coupled with survival needs.

To make these changes would require the removal of ego, and the reinsertion of heart.

This is just a brief overview of some of my ideas for an upward growth for our children's learning.
