In the future, centers of learning will teach at least one thing we do not teach today: the art of self-discovery. There is nothing more fundamental in education. We turn our students from our universities who know how to give answers, but not how to ask questions.
Our students do not come in contact with the centers of wisdom in our culture. They leave universities with skills for the workplace, but with no knowledge of how to live, or what living is for. They are not taught how to see. They are not taught how to listen.They are not taught the art of obedience. and how it preceds self-mastery.
They are not taught the true art of reading. True reading is not just passing our eyes over words on a page, or gathering information, or even understanding what is being read.
True reading is a creative act. It means seeing first, and then using the imagination. Higher reading ought to be a new subject. As we read, so we are.
I meet people in all walks of life, and most notoriously in the fields of literature and science, who, though professionals, do not actually read what is in front of them. They read what is already inside of them.
I suspect this is happening now as you read this page. All our innovations and discoveries, our creativity come from one source: being able to see first what is there, and what is not; to hear what is said, and what is not. But also to think clearly.
And even more important is the science of intuition. The academy of the future will have to engage this mysterious necessity of the value, the sublime value of intuition in our lives, and our work.
How to make those intuitive leaps that transformed the science and art of humanity a quality that is available to all, and made constant value to humanity - this will be the true turning point in the future history of our civilisation.
We need to widen, at base, and invisibly, the inevitable necessity of teaching students the need of self-discovery. People who can enrich the planet as human beings. We are the co-maker of this world we live in.

DOING EDUCATION RIGHT
Throughout history, many attempts have been made by great education leaders for doing education right.
For an example, back in 1897, The Great School of Natural Science was founded by John Richardson and Florence Huntley.

The funny thing is that so few Ode readers worldwide, are aware of the 'right kind' of education, offered by this great school and yet the school has been in existence for more than 120 years.
So what's the catch? In all honesty, there isn't any Catch. Except maybe the catch is simply this:
Only those students who are ready and intentionally searching for the TRUTH may find there way to this school.

MY VISION OF EDUCATION CENTER
My vision (and hope) for education center on honoring the student as much as continually refreshing the desire for continued life-long learning. Empkasis would be on our growth as a human spiritual beings as our relationship to the universe. Within that would be molded and shared the necessities for day to day living. I believe it is essential to recognize all traditions and beliefs, and molding respect and understanding for all.To maintain purity in the learning environment, there is a need to re-look at the intention for "education". as i see it the intent or basis for learning should be born of our inherent curiosity coupled with survival needs. To make these changes would require the removal of ego, and the reinsertion of heart. This is just a brief overview of some of my ideas for an upward growth for our children's learning.

WHY DID YOU CREATE THIS GROUP?
My topic for this group is about a "PROVOCATIVE OPINION" about our current educational system in America and NOT about education itself. I often tell a story about what led me to do what I'm doing now.
My Story
A few years ago, due to my own stupidity, and an offer for a business venture in the Middle-East, I lost everything that was precious to me. My home my belongings, and my business.
Down on my luck and no place to go to, I began to wonder around, searching for myself and some answers that would make my own life bearable. I spent much time in local parks and in public libraries because they were free and warm.
Hoping to find the royal road to riches, I joined secret fraternal organizations. Day by day, I found myself sinking deeper and deeper into depression.
I was totally broke, financially, spiritually and emotionally. And then, out of depression, I made some drastic changes. They way I made these drastic changes was that instead of feeling sorry for myself and blaming others for my own mistakes and misfortunes, I decided myself to do some Soul-searching, some deep-thinking and a lot of meditation.
I did a lot of reading. I read every book I could get my hands on. I mean, books in the self-help and personal development and in spirituality. I spent much time doing nightly meditations.
And, then, in the hour of my greatest distress I found my greatest asset in the discovery and revelation of my "Other-self" the "God-self". I discovered "Who I am" not as a human-being having a physical experience but, its really the reverse. Let me explain! Who I am"... is really a spiritual-being having a physical experience. Its the 'infinite' part of us that was never born and never dies.
Its the spiritual part of us that is connected with the SOURCE from which we came and to which we return after death. This profound discover of the "Other-self" was revealed to me during my nightly meditation sessions with an angel who revealed The Seven Laws of Nature one-by-one. (I'll tell the story in my book). THE BOOK IS FREE.
Please understand that I did not invent these Seven Nature's Laws to Successful Living, I was summoned to share them with others with the hope they will change their lives for the better just as they have mine.
Don't get me wrong. The Seven Laws of Nature are not NEW, but they are always new to people who are learning for the first time. The Seven Laws of Nature became a part of my doctoral degree thesis at the University of Metaphysics and were accepted. Now, here the point I'm trying to convey.
If added in our current educational system in America, they would surely so revolutionize the whole educational system that it would reduce time spent in schools and colleges to less than half. Just think of it!

Why is our present educational system failing us?
Many of us seem to think that just by teaching human beings to read or write, we shall our human problems?
While it is obviously necessary to know how to read or write, it will not give any one the capacity to understand life.
The ability to understand ourselves is both the beginning and end of all education, which is not merely acquiring knowledge, gathering and correlating of facts, it is to see the significence of life as a whole.
This understanding comes only through 'self-knowledge', which is an awareness of one's total process. Thus, education, in the true sense, is an understanding of oneself, for it is within each one of us that the whole exisyence is gathered.
What we know call education is a matter of accumulating information and knowledge from books, which anyone can do who can read. Such knowledge offers a subtle form of escape from ourselves. Like all other escapes, it inevitably creates misery.
Conflicts and confusion results from wrong relationships with people, things, nature and the whole universe of which we as humans are an integral part.
And, until we understand that relation, and more importantly alter it, merely learning, gathering facts and acquiring various skills, can only lead us to engulf chaos and destruction.
The highest function of education of education is to bring about an integrated individual, who is capable of dealing with life as a whole person.
Education, as it is at present, in no way encourages the understanding of the inherited tendencies and environmental influences, which condition the mind and heart to accept Nature's Laws to Successful Living.
THE SEVEN LAWS OF NATURE Philosphy helps us to break through the negative conditioning and bring about an integrated human being.
Any form of education that concerms itself with a part, and NOT with whole of a man or woman, inevitably leads to increasing conflict and human suffering. THIS IS THE WRONG KIND OF EDUCATION.
RIGHT KIND OF EDUCATION:
The right kind of education means the awakening of intelligence, the fostering of an integrated life, and such education can create a new culture and peaceful world.
But, in order to bring about this kind of education, we must take a fresh new look at the spiritual side of ourselves.
The Seven Laws of Nature philosophy holds the truth about human life, and the complete understanding of ourselves, which is an awareness of one's total spiritual process.
WAYS WE CAN REVOLUTIONIZE AMERICAN EDUCATION
I earnestly believe from the bottom of my heart that The Seven Laws of Nature philosophy should be taught in all schools, coplleges, and universities.
I also believe that they should be a part of any curriculum of the Social Science, Human Resources or the Philosophy departments at all major colleges and universities in the United States of America and throughout the free world.
Not because they help you to cope with all problems of life, but more importantly, the whole purpose of education is, or at least so it should be, to start the mind of an individual to grow from within.
Truly, if all the world understoof t The Seven Laws of Nature philosophy and then 'lived-by-them', indeed all the problems of the world would be solved; and peace, love, joy, harmony, and prosperity would be the experience of all human kind.
I perdict that it The Seven Laws of Nature philosophy were properly taught in all schools, colleges and universities, they would so revolutionize the entire educational system in the world that time spent in schools, colleges, and universities or in any other educational institution would be reduced to less than half.
I guarantee it!
Conventional education in the United States of America or throughout the free world, as it is at present, makes independent thinking extremely difficult.
To bring right kind of education into our homes, schools, colleges, universities or any other educational institutions, we must obviously understand the true meaning of life as a whole.
And, for that, we have to able to think directly and to truly seel answers from within.
So - what's the piont?
The point I'm trying to conver to the Ode community is 'self-knowledge' and NOT just the 'book-knowledge' is the true essence of all education.
Is it any wonder why our present educational syatem is failing us? I perdict that during this third millennium, human cultural will change dramatically as a result of Ode community worldwide,
I believe that we are now entering the new age of the evolution of intelligence and by the collective efforts of all the Intelligent Optimists, we will create a 'critical mass' necessary to shift into our conscious evolution.
Learning The Seven Laws of Nature and then, living by them, will ultimately prepare us to attract and enjoy life right here right now instead of waiting for things to happen tomorrow.
