Teacher with the bus: Everything is a field trip

It's true that sometimes things aren't as they seem...but that is not the case with Jens-Peter Jungclaussen, founder of Teacher With The Bus. Jungclaussen is exactly that. He is a teacher...with a bus.

There are two buses, actually. One is a mobile venue used to "drive kids to learn, naturally," and the other is a sustainable school bus with 52 seats, wi-fi, and a state-of-the-art sound system to take kids kids out to nature. After all, with the Teacher With The Bus," Everything is a field trip".

He uses these buses to provide an after school program for students aged 11-17 in the bay area of San Francisco, as well as two-week sessions for students with five outings a week. The outings focusing on connecting students with nature, and, as Jungclaussen's website says, "Giving students the freedom to do what they love in nature with art, music, sports, science and more." Destinations include mountains, beaches and parks.
