The cat's meow

You've heard the expression "raining cats and dogs", but for one central California woman, the part about cats is almost literally true....It looks like a storm of cats rained down upon Lynea Lattanzio's 12-arcre ranch where she feeds and cares for over 600 feral and abandoned cats. Lattanzizo keeps the cats alive and healthy in hopes of having them adopted to good homes.

Around 16,000 cats have passed through Lattanzio's ranch, which she calls "The Cat House" since she began her "cat ranching" in 1992. Last year Lattanizio took in over 1,000 kittens from the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals in Fresno. She has about 20 visitors to her home each week - some are looking to adopt a cat, and others seek veterinary care. Lattanizio helps them all bringing smiles the faces of humans and cats alike.

Hats off to Lynea, what a godsend. I'm a cat lover too and I have two shelter babies. I loved reading this post. P2
